About Us
Education For Kayahliphu (EFK) is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to make education more accessible to Karenni students in Thailand and Myanmar. EFK develops educational programs for students from pre-kindergarten to college and provides resources to assist students in obtaining education. EFK recruits volunteers and collaborates with schools and community organizations in the U.S. and Thailand to achieve its mission. EFK hopes to create a platform where students from different backgrounds share their knowledge, gain new perspectives, and make a difference in the lives of others.
Our Programs
Online English Program
We are committed to providing accessible education to learners from all backgrounds. We recruit volunteer teachers and provide Chromebooks/tablets for students with the opportunity to learn at their own pace.
Preschool Program
As parents and children face a number of challenges for the upcoming school year, our preschool program aims to cover tuition fees and expenses for preschoolers in Karenni Refugee Camp 1, Thailand.
Volunteer Program
We welcome everyone! The core of our work lies in the continuous passion and dedication we bring to the range of projects we take part in. Please join us to gain experience and make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
Our Team.
We believe that education should be free for all children and available to individuals who seek it. Since online resources have become widespread, we decided to create an online learning program for Karenni students in Thailand and Myanmar.
